Wildlife is beautiful, except when that wildlife decides to make a home in your attic, when it decides to go after your livestock, or your pets. As a licensed and insured trapper, I offer wildlife Removal and damage repair, because when squirrels come to live in your attic, they don't come in through the front door. Live trapping and relocation is always prioritized in regard to circumstances. Special pricing for farmers on predator control. Member of the Ontario Fur Managers Federation in good standing with $5,000,000 liability insurance.
Is trapping legal?
Trapping is a legal activity in Ontario, in both urban and rural areas. It is also regulated in order to ensure it is done humanely and without cruelty. In order to obtain a trapping license in Ontario, one must take a 40 hour mandatory course, which incorporates theory as well as hands on training. At the end of the course one must also pass the final examination. The course teaches future trappers safe, humane and selective trapping techniques.
Trapping is also carried out for research purposes, predator control and removal of nuisance animals.
"A person shall not interfere with lawful trapping by tampering with traps or any other thing used for trapping." Statutes of Ontario, 1997 CH. 41, S. 13.1(1) - Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
